ritchie*studio Artificial Intelligence policy outlines the use of artificial intelligence (AI) within the practice to help ensure that we maintain ethical practices, manage risk, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
ritchie*studio relies on human and professional experience and scrutiny to create and deliver our services.
ritchie*studio does not originate images, 3d forms or written material with AI.
We may use AI processes to analyse, assess, test, augment or retouch information included as part of our design process or project deliverables. We do so only utilising tested and authorised processes available in studio licensed software; for which terms and conditions, new features and system security are regularly reviewed. This includes assessing and authorising historically available and utilised processes which may fall under the heading of artificial intelligence.
The use of AI within the studio is carefully considered on a project-by-project basis and suitably restricted.
We maintain transparency internally on the use of artificial intelligence and review all outputs accordingly. We will offer the same transparency to our clients and project teams on request.
We maintain supervision on the use of AI and provide staff training on its appropriate use.
We generally restrict generative AI to information within our own authorship and materials included with software licenses. When we extend beyond this we review carefully the rights to utilise content authored by others offered up by AI processes in our work. We do not knowingly incorporate content which we do not have license or right to use. Any deliverables which we believe have significantly been developed using generative AI will be clearly labelled as such.
Where AI processes are used to summarise project documentation or correspondence all output will be checked and edited.
We do not authorise the uploading of project documentation into unlicensed unauthorised cloud-based AI systems.
Our policy prohibits use of open-source AI.
We require subconsultants to have similarly robust processes on projects we employ them on.
We remain open to utilising AI processes and welcome suggestions which will enhance our services and commit resources to research and trial new developments in AI technology.
