The Architecture of Transparency exhibition opens at the Building Centre on 1 July with talks, case studies and exhibits from architects, engineers, manufacturers, and innovators.
As a practice at the dawn of transparent envelope techniques, ritchie*studio are delighted to exhibit the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour (coincidentally just a few minutes’ walk from the Centre); adaptable neuroscience laboratories clad with a unique structural low-iron cast glass modular assembly, a world-first in structural cast glass.
The optically white insulated low-maintenance façade provides excellent daylight levels and privacy and incorporates opening windows. The inside of the glass façade is a whiteboard for ‘capturing ideas’.
Gordon Talbot, Projects Director will give a talk on the SWC later this month. Details to follow.
