Accelerate Insight Tour

ritchie*studio recently hosted Barking and Dagenham’s Jo Richardson Community School as part of the Accelerate Insight programme.

This Open City run scheme gives year 10 / 11 students the opportunity to visit architectural practices and gain an insight into what it is to be an architect.

Lynn Qian and Thomas Rigby led the workshop in which students learnt about our practice, told from the viewpoint of the newest architects in our team.

As well as a tour of the studio, and discussions around practice, the students took part in a creative model making challenge to test their design and engineering skills.

The students showed a genuine interest in the profession and challenged our architects with engaging questions.
