The Future of Architectural Design for Health

Gordon Talbot, Projects Director at ritchie*studio is speaking at an international conference The Future of Architectural Design for Health in Venice on November 30th where a new post-graduate programme ‘Master in Architecture and Health’ at the Università Iuav di Venezia is being launched.

Gordon will explain the studio’s multi-track approach to learning about science research environments, the people and “communities” who work and support the scientific research process, how research flexes and develops in relation to discovery and technical advance, how research buildings can contribute and also restrict the process, and, perhaps most important, how best to facilitate development of neuroscience into an uncharted future. He will present an overview of the research and design approach to the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour at UCL.
