Renewal Architects book launch

On June 27th,  the launch of Renewal Architects was celebrated in Malta hosted at the recently completed Brewhouse and Trident Park. The book details the rich history and innovative transformation of the iconic Farsons brewery.

Louis Farrugia, Farsons Group Chairman personally welcomed guests and Richard England, renowned architect, artist, poet, and author introduced the event. Panellists – Michael Farrugia, Alex Torpiano, Doug King and Ian Ritchie – all instrumental to the projects’ success participated in a discussion with Richard England moderated by Paul Finch, Founder and Programme Director of the World Architecture Festival.

Richard England said the low-rise Trident Park building and regenerated 1950s Farsons brewery – an iconic example of an early reinforced concrete industrial structure – are powerful antidotes to Malta’s current trend towards high-rise structures.

It’s a long time since I visited a building in Malta which made me smile, today I really did smile,” he said.
