On the Duty and the Power of Architecture

In dieser Reihe sprechen Mitglieder der Sektion Baukunst über ihre beruflichen Erfahrungen im Angesicht von Energie- und Ressourcenknappheit und Klimaproblemen. Der britische Architekt und Planer Ian Ritchie gehört der Akademie seit 2013 an. Seine jüngsten Gebäude sind das mehrfach ausgezeichnete Sainsbury Wellcome Centre, die Royal Academy of Music Theatre und die Angela Burgess Recital Hall, in London, die Erneuerung der Farsons-Brauerei und die Errichtung des Trident Park in Malta. Er spricht zum Thema “Auf der Suche nach nicht-linearer Schönheit”.

In this series, members of the Architecture Section talk about their professional experiences in the face of energy and resource scarcity and climate problems. British architect and planner Ian Ritchie has been a member of the Academy since 2013. His most recent buildings are the multi-award winning Sainsbury Wellcome Centre, the Royal Academy of Music Theatre and the Angela Burgess Recital Hall, in London, and the Renewal of Farsons Brewery and the creation of Trident Park in Malta. He speaks on the topic “In search of non-linear beauty”.
