ritchie*studio is delighted to be participating in Open-City Architecture in Schools 2022. This free programme is for Year 4/5 London primary school pupils and is generously supported by the Canary Wharf Group. Each school is partnered with a professional practice from the Built Environment sector who facilitate a site visit and deliver two in-school workshops in the Autumn term to explore how our city is changing. Students work individually and as part of a team to create their own version of an ideal city. Classes can then submit their portfolios and models to an inter-school competition. Everyone shares in an awards ceremony at East Wintergarden Hall, Canary Wharf on December 1st, 2022.
The aim of the programme is to inspire the next generation of city-shapers and for participants to understand how architecture and design informs the world around us.
