Public Talk at UCL – Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour:
Tuesday 24th November 2015
Sainsbury Wellcome Centre
25 Howland Street
London W1T 4JG
Talk starts at 18:30
Toni Rüttimann has been building bridges together with local communities since he was nineteen years old. He is now 48. He has given only one talk in the UK before at the RIBA in 2006 at the invitation of Ian Ritchie who chaired the occasion.
Toni talks about the reality of being a people’s bridgebuilder on this planet: obstacles and logistics; materials search and prefabrication; government interactions; engineering and construction procedures, communities and values; and most importantly, the meaning of it all.
