Studio Carbon Footprint 2024-2025
ritchie*studio’s office carbon footprint for 2024-2025 has reduced by 6 tonnesCO2e to 59.25 tonnesCO2e.
This reduction is in comparison to our baseline of 65.46 tonnesCO2e two years ago.
In the recent reporting period ritchie*studio has taken major steps to reduce our emissions to meet our interim target of a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
Within the past year we have transitioned from a gas boiler at its end of life to a commercial heat pump. This transition heavily reduces our Scope 1 emissions going forward.
Smart space heating controls were also introduced cutting our Scope 2 electricity energy demand by 1/3rd compared to our baseline usage.
ritchie*studio uses the Climate Essentials carbon management platform, cross-referenced with our own review of the UK Government GHG Conversion Factors, to determine our office carbon footprint across Scopes 1,2 and 3.
As reporting platforms continue to develop, we expect the detail of our carbon reporting to improve year on year.
